Carevan's Christmas Present

Owen Sandry, Ross Reid, Stuart Heriot and Rick Priest hand over donations to Carevan project Manager Lynne Graham.

The Wagga Carevan foundation has received a $2000 gift from Lodge Wagga Wagga No 22.

The Charity group, run by a group of more than 65 dedicated volunteers, delivers food three times a week to those who need it. Carevan Wagga project manager Lynne Graham said the money would fill a gap that is not being met. We are working on a lot of donations for food, but we do have a need for extra food every mealtime," Ms. Graham said.

I have a budget for purchasing extra items that don't come to us. The amount of $2000 is fantastic and we also have a lot of ongoing costs, such as our monthly rent and utility bills. Ms. Graham said the community had supported Care van since it began operating in February and any donation was greatly appreciated.

Lodge Wagga Wagga 22 raised half the money via a raffle and the rest was donated through Masonicare.

Masonicare Caring Officer Ross Reid said donating funds to those who need it was a privilege for their organisation.
